Singspired exists so people sing more. Every rule here serves that.

Cheer first

Every take is someone being brave. Start with what's working. Be specific: "the way you sat back on the last note" beats "great job".

Suggestions are invitations

Only leave a suggestion when the singer asked for them. Point to a moment with a timestamp, say what you noticed, and offer one thing to try. Never comment on someone's appearance, body, or worth. If you wouldn't say it to a friend in a rehearsal room, don't post it.

No downvotes, no pile-ons

There's no way to downvote here on purpose. If a take isn't for you, move on. If a comment is unkind, report it rather than replying in kind.

Your own voice

Post your own singing. Backing tracks and reference links to other people's work are welcome; passing off someone else's performance as yours is not.

Reporting and blocking

Every take, comment, and profile has a report option. Blocking someone hides you from each other completely. We read every report.
